SOCIAL MEDIA IN FUTURE

Social media as we have been taking about is the most widely used and spread technology in present. We all know its increasing every day and in near future its likely to change. When started social media was only important for entertainment and passing time but now with the rising future it is not only the way of expressing human emotions it’s also a way to effect persons income and may be his daily business. It has risen and developed to be so important in human lives that some of the days never start unless they start with a social media update.
If we see a business aspect of social media in future is the biggest data source that we can have about human emotions there likes dislikes. If we do a survey its most likely to 50% false because no one in the world wants to do surveys but the data collected from Facebook or Twitter  will most accurate because people wrote all that with their heart and spending time. A manufacturing company can introduce a new model of clothing line or new cellphone in market by the help of this data collected, they can see the majority of other factors like demand fashion taste etc. Facebook has connected social media with maps these could be fun as Facebook update itself from where the status is updated it a very reliable data if we see that how many time the status had been updated from Starbucks or McDonalds or any other places it will us about the popularity and why or what factors are responsible for this popularity of business.
There was an application which was created for apple called snapchat this became popular in mid-February this became so popular that it become a rivals with Facebook. This was a small application which sends a picture by you to your friend and it will destruct itself in 10 seconds. This became so popular that high schools in USA had banned smartphone while teachers instruction. This is a small part of the revolution that is going to happen in future. Twitter will forecast box-office revenue for movies. As the number of twittes that are posted for a movie and the number of people following the movie page will predict the future of movies for sure.

Social Media " President "



Social Media in my opinion had a bigger impact on 2008 election and it will continue to have its greater effects on elections in future too. The most important thing about social media is that it connect a larger number of people most important it make a relation of one person with the social networking site so much that they become dependent on it.
Barack Obama the US president who I can say is the first political man to take full advantage of social media and there after the 2008 election he was named “The Social Media President”. As according to a report given by Heidi Cohen who provides marketing related insights grounded in digital and direct marketing the US president was very intelligent to use the powerful tool of social media in elections. According to the report Barack Obama gives few cues the businesses and senior executive should use in today’s world.

  • ·         Be Transparent: It’s easy to hide behind your computer screen and think public as some amorphous group out there somewhere. The most important thing is to be honest. This requires a healthy dose of your customers and public.
  • ·     Master the ability to tell a story: As the Us president is not only saying these words he actually means it. As during his campaigns Obama doesn’t just read facts to people but he actually created a story around the whole information he wants to convey to people.
  • ·         Be willing to engage in Social Media platform: He was ready to test new ways to communicate to general people. That’s why he says that the businesses should be willing to participate on social media.

 If we see the results from 2008 the same happened in 2012 election in US. Barack Obama is so socially connected with people that it somewhat hard to cut down his votes. In my opinion if the opponents apply the same strategy to defeat him may be In the next elections the results could be different. As I say if in India the Congress is defeated that will only be because of Facebook. The largest number of users of Facebook is in India they are the voters who could be influenced by social media. We already have seen the power of social media so we can’t neglect the fact that it has changed the not only the marketing side but also some other important sides in our society.

           Social media has increased or decreased the quality of news ? This question is really ironic because in many ways social media is revolutionary and educative but every coin has two faces so there are bad sides of social media too. Social media has given employment opportunity to various number of people and this opportunity is indirectly related to the new and information that is attain by people using social media. A reporter takes an exclusive interview with Barack Obama and he tweeted it on twitter and his 1000 fans sees it . This is one of the example of news running into social media . The era of news is diminishing  now a days and social media is rising up. Its not only about making friends or finding relationships but now it has become advance and people are now kind of depended upon social media.
         When you wake you the first thing you do is check your Facebook status or make a twitte to your twitter account. When there was a snow storm in Oshawa two days ago the information i received was from DC International page that was on Facebook. As I am a student i don't have cable TV at home but i have a mobile which has a data plan so so i checked it out on my cellphone and I was aware of the trouble.
        Cellphone is the one thing every person has and that person will rarely open any news channel for information just type in on YouTube and you will get a weather report or just login to Facebook and the latest news will be on your page.

Social Media

Social media now and in near future is not only the method of connecting people but it has become the method of connecting marketers to consumers. Its a powerful tool that has changed the definitions of marketing and sales.
 The term Social media can be defined as "a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of web 2.0." In simple words its a medium or platform that provide people to express them self and it also provide substantial and pervasive changes to communication between organizations, communities and individuals. This subject has been introduce to us in our marketing program which makes our course better. The modern word of marketing is all focused in individual marketing and social media is the best way to do so. As working in a IT company i got a good knowledge about the how the normal Facebook page like could be million dollar revenue for a company and how the popularity of a website could improve the sales of a brand.
      Some of the famous social media sites are Facebook,Twitter,LinkedIn,Pinterest,My space, Google+,DevianArt,Tagged , Orkut, Youtube,Wikkipedia and the list never stops. These all websites are the one with the largest traffic or with a big connectivity in easy words with a largest number users. Facebook has the largest number of users. In early day the most affective way to advertise was newspapers but now its all the social networking sites people check there Facebook before going to bed or when they wake up they tweet when ever they are happy or when the wanna share something with the whole world . This kind of connectivity has linked many people together and it is easier for the marketers to target set of people.
The best example of social media is Justine Biber If social media was not as fast and advance as it now he would still be struggling with the music industry .
     Social media is something which is very important and more than just liking photographs and commenting on status.For us the new marketers its a powerful tool to get better in the field of selling and advertising.
